What is Right-Click Search on Cooliris Previews?

Right-click search on Cooliris Previews for Firefox (and Flock) allows you to search a term or phrase in virtually any major search engine or website with a search function while you are on another website.

1. Simply highlight the phrase you want to search
2. Right-click, and a drop down menu will appear
3. Select Cooliris Search and then the website you wish to search
4. Cooliris Previews will then automatically search your selected website for the phrase you highlighted

Manage Your Searchable Websites

You can choose which websites to show or not show in the drop down menu when right-click to do a search.

1. Click the tab marked "Right-click search" in your Cooliris Previews options menu.
2. You'll see two columns. The left column shows the list of default websites available but not yet activated for right-click search. The right column shows those activated ones.
3. Simply highlight the website of interest, and then click the appropriate arrow to move the website from one column to the other. Use CTRL-click to select multiple sites at one time.

Add Websites for Right-Click Search

Starting with Cooliris Previews for Firefox v. 2.5, you can add own list of websites you want available for right-click search, i.e. localized version of Google, Ask Images, your favorite discussion forum, etc.

NOTE: The site you choose must have a search box. Right-click search works on a great many sites, but not all sites.

Let's say for example, you want to add to your list Technorati.com, a popular search engine for blogs and tagged social media.

1. Visit your desired website (Technorati.com in this example)
2. Type any word, i.e. i.e. "cooliris" into the search box of that website
3. Copy (CTRL-C) the URL that appears in your main browser address bar

4. Open your Cooliris Preview window, then click > Options > Right-click search

Paste (CTRL-V) that URL into Box #2
Write in Box #3 the word you searched, ("Cooliris" in this example)
Write into Box #1 the name of the site as you'd like to have listed
Click Add, and then Save.
